The Children’s and Youth Clinic Sörmland is a county clinic with operations at the county’s three hospitals. The children’s clinic at Mälarsjukhuset consists of a neonatal ward and a children’s and youth ward, children’s reception, day care and children’s emergency department. The department is currently the only inpatient care department for children and young people between the ages of 0 and 18 in Sörmland.
We provide care for children and young people in the specialties of pediatric medicine, pediatric surgery, pediatric orthopedics and ear, nose and throat diseases. It is very varied and fun work where we have children of all ages and many different diagnoses that we care for. We work with the vision “Sörmland’s children, safe in our hands” and strive to have high competence among the staff and that we always focus on the family’s right to participate in the care of their child. Our commitment to the whole family is strong and we work according to NOBAB’s standard and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
With us, you get the advantages of the smaller hospitals with a personal and close feeling, while we have high-quality care and treatment. The department can be called “a small hospital within the hospital”, which provides exciting challenges and broad competence.
Now we are looking for you who want to help make pediatric healthcare in Sörmanland the best in Sweden. Do you want to join and make a difference?
With us, you may assess and perform pediatric nursing work. You have a close collaboration with your colleagues on the ward, both nurses, assistant nurses and doctors.
Within your first year, you will be able to participate in introductory days where you will gain in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge. We also have internal training courses continuously throughout the year.
To work as a nurse with us, you need to be a registered nurse, preferably with specialist training in health care for children and young people. It is advantageous if you have experience in child healthcare.
As a person, you are calm, confident and responsible in your professional role. You have a professional approach when dealing with patients and their relatives. You work child-friendly and consider the family’s right to be involved in the care of their child. You enjoy working in teams, as well as you find it easy to work independently and have the ability to plan and prioritize your work. You enjoy a varied work pace and are flexible and solution-focused. We place great importance on personal characteristics.
We offer you secure employment with good opportunities for career and professional development. You will also have the opportunity to be part of specialist groups whose mission is to drive care forward.
