Qatar believes in Turkey’s economy


Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdurrahman Al-Thani said that Turkey with its diversity has a strong economy and they trust the Turkish economy.

Al-Thani said at a press conference with Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, who is on an official visit to his country, in the capital Doha, that their bilateral meeting focused on the Palestinian issue, developments in Syria and Afghanistan.

Stressing that relations between Turkey and Qatar are a strategic and extraordinary partnership and that these relations continue to develop in all areas, Al-Thani recalled that today, with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamed Al -Thani, the 7th meeting of the Turkey-Qatar High Strategic Committee will take place.

“The Emir of Qatar and President Erdogan will also discuss the political and humanitarian situation in Afghanistan,” Al-Thani said, adding that 12 new agreements are expected to be signed during the meeting.

As for the Turkish economy, Qatari Minister Al-Thani said: “We rely on a diversified Turkish economy, which is built on solid foundations. This allows the country’s economy to overcome its current situation. “Qatar has large investments in Turkey and these investments are fruitful.”
