What are the negative effects that technology has on children?!

Technology has become a necessity for everyone’s life, having both positive and negative effects. But those who are hurt the most by all, are the children! For all people who do not know and especially parents, babies aged 0-2 years should not have any kind of exposure to technology, as it carries a great risk for them.

Suggestions from doctors are that children ages 3-5 can use only 1 hour a day of electronic devices, while those aged 6-18 can use only 2 hours a day. If this limit is exceeded, using 4 or 5 times more than the norm, the consequences can be very harmful for all children.

Among the most serious consequences that technology causes to little ones is the rapid growth of the brain. From birth to the age of 2 years, the baby’s brain grows 3 times in size and continues until the age of 21, but in slower processes. Stimulation of the developing brain through overexposure to technology has been shown to be associated with reaction time, concentration problems, learning disabilities, and increased impulsivity.

Another problem of the age of ‘technology’ is the delayed development of children. 1 in 3 children using technology in America and Canada have entered school with developmental delays, thus affecting their learning abilities. However, in addition to the delayed development, staying for hours in front of electronic devices makes your children prone to becoming obese, which also leads to a higher risk of diabetes.

And finally, aggression is the trait which characterizes the children of the decade we left behind. It is almost impossible for a child to be checked for everything he sees on his computer. And this is exactly why violent videos cause aggression in children but also mental problems.
