Federer, Nadal or Djokovic, the story can be written at the Australian Open

Three big tennis names want to continue writing history. Novak Djokovic’s loss to Daniil Medvedev in the US Open final left things as they were before this tournament.

Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokovic have all won three of the 20 Grand Slam titles. If the knees allow the Swiss and the foot does not prevent Nadal from starting the season, at the Australian Open they will offer us the battle that was promised at the US Open. The top three the tennis world has ever seen will fight for the 21st Grand Slam of their career, a trophy that will lift the winner to the top of world tennis.

The reality is that this battle has been joined by new generation talents like Medvedev, Zverev, Tsitsipas, Rublev or Dominic Thiem, the first, fresh winner of the US Open.

In any case, age does not forgive you, Roger Federer’s career is in the final stages. At the age of 40, the Swiss played his last match in the Wimbledon quarterfinals, in July. The same goes for Rafa Nadal, who at the age of 35 has only been able to play two games in the last three months.

The only one of the three who resists time seems to be Novak Djokovic, who at the age of 34 seems to be the favorite to win the 21st Grand Slam of his career.

Predictions suggest that Djokovic will be the big name that will upset the full balance in terms of major tournaments won. The next battle will move to Australia. Only time will tell which of the three will be crowned and will be able to write his name in golden letters in history.
